Lifeguard Training in Cincinnati
This class is designed for the first year lifeguards or a recertification of an existing lifeguard that has let his/her certification expire. This American Red Cross lifeguard course includes the following certifications: Lifeguard, first aid, adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR and 2-person CPR. This class is designed to last about 31 hours and will consist of both classroom and water time. It is imperative that you are in excellent physical condition to take this class.
We offer classes year round for your convenience. Below is a list of our current lifeguard training classes. Classes fill up very quickly, reserve your spot ASAP!!!
Pre-course requirements
- 300 yard swim: 100 yards of free style, 100 yards of breast stroke, 100 yards of either
- Lift 10 lb brick from 7 feet depth in less than 1:20 seconds
- Complete all rescues in the correct technique ARC teaches
For Every class bring the following:
- Swimsuit
- Towel/sweatshirt
- Pencil/highlighter
- Snacks and Water
- Resuscitation Mask - You will receive this during the course of the class.
- Lifeguard Book - You will receive this during the first class time.

Before the class commences you may defer to another class if there is space available or cancel your registration for a full refund if the request is submitted at least one week before the scheduled course commences. No refund will be given to “no shows” or after a student attends any portion of the course.
